Project Background
One requirement of receiving a B.S. in Communication from BYU-Idaho is a capstone project. The capstone project consists of the class splitting into two agencies and smaller groups within each agency. The client is chosen by professor Abby Nelson. Our client for the semester is a startup company in Colorado called Mountain Paradise Hay, LLC.
Students in the Communication Capstone course received a unique opportunity to work with a completely new company. As a consequence of a new company, our information on the company was based off of the business owner’s expertise in timothy hay and their dream to retire.
Goal For the Project + Outcomes
The main goal of this project was to establish a foundation for Mountain Paradise Hay. This includes research, branding, content pillars, and all the necessities for a startup company. During this project I had the honor of playing a role in digital content, digital experience, and branding strategy.
As a digital content specialist, I helped establish content pillars, researched influencers to partner with, and created mockup socials.
As a digital experience specialist, I helped apply design elements to website pages and ensured a unified experience between the website pages.
The branding team reached out to me last minute asking for mockups to be made for merchandise and PR package items. I was able to create mockups for various items to help lighten their load and allow them to focus on package design.
